This is the first of three quotes from a local company. I really like the builder but with the kitchen, boiler, flooring and internal doors I'm guessing the total will be Nudging 65k.
The house is in a cracking area - we bought it last year for just over 310k whereas a similar three bed over the road (already done up) went for 400k so our total spend will be approx 380k with carpets and decorating done.
How does this quote look? In my opinion 10k more than I was expecting for the job but hard to tell until the quotes are in.

That's about £300 psf, which sounds a bit high, but it depends on the detail. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

As GDB2222 says, £3,000/m2 sounds a fair bit even if it down South, especially since it doesn't include kitchen units or worktops, no flooring etc.0
