Thankyou. Don’t actually know what MIG is. Before I read previous thread I thought we had a case but I can see now this is unlikely, I just know we could not have mortgage without paying this insurance. To be quite honest I thought it was a reasonable condition at the time even though employment was secure.0

Thankyou. Don!!!8217;t actually know what MIG is.
It is where the lender charged a lump sum (or monthly if you paid it off over a period) for borrowing a higher loan to valuation. Quite normal in the 80s but rarely seen after around 1998.I just know we could not have mortgage without paying this insurance.
If you didnt increase your deposit, you had to pay MIG.To be quite honest I thought it was a reasonable condition at the time even though employment was secure.
That is probably cloudy memory and misunderstanding as it has nothing to do with employment.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such.
