G Plan sofas

After having her new GPlan sofas for a couple of days my mum noticed the cushions were marked where she (and guests) had sat on them. This is not marks from jeans or dark clothes etc, nor is it where the pile is flattened. The fabric looks darker, from all viewpoints, and they look old and worn already.
She has now had them for two weeks and is having little success with a refund. GPlan will not acknowledge a problem and say it's not a manufacturing issue. The shop will not come out and look, but say they will exchange for a display suite or come to collect and sell on her behalf.
The label says this chenille fabric may suffer from 'flattening and shading variances over time' but surely 3 days is unreasonable for £2,000 worth of sofas! She has made enquiries with a refund from the credit card she used. Where does she stand? Any help gratefully received.
Thanks,
Kath

Flattening and shading (which is not ware) will be caused by people sitting on the material and it does not take long. If you want your sofa looking as it did on day one get it upholstered in fabric that does not do this.
Do you have pictures?0 -
I do have photos but can't work out how to put them up! Looks like a 2-3 year old sofa already. It also looks slightly like someone's peed on it and there's been a bad clear up job...
Surely if fabric is not going to last more than 3 days without marking it is unfit for use?
My own suite in nearly identical fabric (from Alston's not GPlan is still immaculate after a year)0
