egg credit card and CRP

I had a credit card 2001-2004.
I am self employed and was not told it was on.
It only shows on my statements once annually though and is a CPP?
the charge is £15 per year.
I closed the account in 2004 after getting in financial difficulty, I also incurred a lot of late payment fees.
My question is, will I get interest to the date I get the refund and will I be compensated?
Could I also claim back the penalty charges?
Thanks in advance for any advice

You need to clarify this, CRP was a form of PPI. CPP is not PPI.
If you had CRP it would be shown on every statement as a separate charge. As you said it was a yearly thing it was CPP not CRP

Ah ok thanks, I didn't know there was a difference. Since starting this thread I have had letters denying any knowledge of my account, I sent evidence recorded delivery and they sent a letter saying I had not sent anything. I then resent with evidence that they had signed for my letter. Another letter arrived the same day I posted the second claiming they have already refunded me the premiums, no interest or compensation added, just the premium cost.
I have checked all my bank accounts and cannot find the cheque in any of them. I do not recall getting a letter, in fact I recall that I couldn't get any information on claiming off them as they stated I must go to CPP themselves.
Now, I don't know what to do. Any ideas please?

Ask them to prove they have paid it and when, if you get no joy ask the FOS to look at it

Ok, I will give I a go. it s strange as they've sent me another letter stating I've not provided any info to prove I had an account, yet they sent a letter last week stating they had paid me already.0
