Landlords Insurance and Subsidence...

Hi everyone
I have fairly reasonable buildings and contents insurance cover with Lloyds, after a huge amount of searching around, as there was a case subsidence with my house in 2008, 8 years ago, before I bought it. It was minor and has been fixed and I have the report of structural adequacy.
I am now renting my house and have been told I need Landlords insurance. I was worried about this happening, as it was so hard to get insured at all in the first place.
I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for companies that may insure me? Also, I am wondering if I need to get subsidence cover for my property when applying for quotes? (is this what makes the quotes go up so high?), as the subsidence problem has been fixed, and was minor anyway, and cost a couple of thousand to fix. If I have had subsidence before, is it crazy to not get subsidence insurance, or the other way round! Sorry if this sounds stupid.
Any help really appreciated, as I have a chronic voice problem, and phone calls to insurers are extremely painful and laboured for me.
Thanks

Your current insurer are the obvious choice0

Yeah I went to them, as they said they did landlord insurance, but the number on their website put me through to Arthur j gallagher, and then they found yet another company. I'm a little confused. They came back with a reasonable premium, but the subsidence excess is £10,000, which is much more than before. I don't know if thats reasonable or not?
Any other suggestions for good companies?0
