glass in Tesco bread - complain how?

my daughter bit on a sharp piece of glass in Tesco "Finest" bread. Could have done serious damage had she not spat it out. Which is the best way to complain?

let me rephrase that - any experience in what is the best way? The obvious might not be the best way to complain.

Take it back, with the glass to the store you bought it, or ring/write to CS.

What do you what them to do?

Are you sure its the bread and not something else?

If so, this is a serious public health issue and Tesco will have its own procedures to deal with it, as long as whoever answers your call understands the importance and urgency so spell it out if you have to. Tesco should at the very least isolate and withdraw the affected batch(es), so please make sure that you supply this information along with the expiry date. They will know exactly where it will have been dsitributed to, and use local / national media sources to publicise.

I'd also advise PHE of the problem: a list of regions can be found here.

At that point, you'll have done your bit.

Yes, she is sure as she thought it was a sunflower seed at first. She decided to speak with her local Public Health Officer first and take it from there. She has everything, remaining bread, packaging, receipt.

Good, a very sensible move to prevent others from coming to serious harm.
