Debt letter but no ticket. Blue badge parking
Heartfire
Have a debt recovery notice from DRPL on behalf of Smart Parking. Not had the ticket though. Parked at Matalan with a blue badgge(my daughters) in a marked by. Said free no time limit. Only to log details with customer services. Have now contact DRPL to say not had a ticket so no idea if we were there longer than allowed. Even though it seems not to be clear how long is allowed 🙈
They want £155 as we have missed the 14 day of early payment offer again because no ticket has come to me. This is apparently my fault. They only have to say they sent it. That is proof enough. Doesn't seem right somehow. Advice please only one. Thank you.

Don't say anything to DRPL, especially about who was driving or any of the circumstances. They won't care. Read the NEWBIES sticky thread (near the top of the list of threads). Then read it again slowly. It explains what you should do.
You can write to DRPL, as keeper, to deny the debt, which you know nothing about, and to tell them to refer the matter back to their client. If and when Smart Parking contact you, write or email them, as keeper, to tell them that you know nothing about this and ask them to send you copies of all relevant documentation.
In the meantime, if you can, take some photos of where your car was parked and the signage that you relied upon.0
