    I spoke to the estate agents yesterday and the valuations been booked in for next Monday apparently. Is it likely to be long after tha?
  • I!!!8217;m losing the will to live. Spoke to the FA yesterday the valuation was all fine but now the underwriter wants another bank statement, proof of address for three years as what I!!!8217;ve provided (p60!!!8217;s) wasn!!!8217;t good enough!

    He!!!8217;s assured me it!!!8217;s the last bits but I!!!8217;m
    Slowly losing the will..it!!!8217;s never ending !!!55357;!!!56852;
  • AHH stick with it you'll get there, then if you have luck like mine... The sellers will pull out!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
    I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to you!
    House no 2 offer made.. will see if it's accepted and start again
  • Oh no !!!55357;!!!56852; bless you! Our sellers on holidays at the moment so I!!!8217;m hoping that!!!8217;ll go in our favour with how long everything!!!8217;s taking! It!!!8217;s just frustrating and my nerves can!!!8217;t take it lol
  • Just a quick update. We have the keys to our new flat. We had a bit of delay on completing as we were away and then the sellers were too, but all done, dusted and once the offer was made no extra requests for copies of anything.
  • Hi,

    We have applied to Kensington through a broker, The only adverse credit we have is my husbands settled DMP back in 2014, every week we are requested to submit different paperwork, I’m behind g to lose the will to live, the initial application went in towards the end of July, we’ve had to get a different solicitor etc. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? How long is it generally taking people? We have literally been asked for everything bar the kitchen sink!
  • That’s exactly how it’s been for us! We have changed the application now though to a joint application instead of just in my name. The FA seems to think we should have the offer this week but we’ve provided absolutely everything you could think of apart from a vital organ.

    The only saving grace is my solicitor only received the draft contract from the sellers solicitor a week ago so searches need to be done which take around 4-6 weeks so at least we’ve got a bit of time on our side.

    Can’t help feeling a bit deflated and losing hope doesn’t help that I’m due to give birth any time soon either lol
  • Our mortgage offer came through yesterday to say I’m relieved and happy is an understatement!!! The mortgage broker sent it to us and says he’s checking over it over the next few days but everything looks fine! Searches are still being done but I’m hoping we’ll have a completion date soon! The mortgage offer is valid til January I’m hoping it’ll all be sorted way before then lol
  • Had AIP over 5 weeks ago via an IFA. Submitted everything then they came back with inevitable questions which we answered. I was trying to consolidate some debt into the mortgage. Manual underwriters took around 6-7 working days to provide an update (even for the smallest of things). They kept apologising for the delay due to "very hectic workload". Eventually, they told us they could not offer the 2 year deal we had requested but were prepared to offer a 5 year deal. We thought about it, then in the following call that we would have taken the deal (another 6 days wait!) they said "actually we don't want this business". Total shambolic way of operating and creating false hope with initial AIP.
  • HI All
    I applied with Kensington thru my MA on friday 28th Sept after Hlifax declines and TSB offered less than i need. I was told 24hrs for initial documentation request then 48 hrs for them to review and decide.... but on reading these forums, people are saying weeks for a decision! i am on week 5 now since my offer was accepted and the estate agent is chasing for the valuation all the time. it is draining and im giving up hope - especially having to wait 4-6 weeks or so. i am hoping for a decision this week.
