Have you looked on Google for lenders who use a soft search ?
Sell an organ, they seem to fetch alot these days.0 -
If your on £45,000 then your take home salary should be in the region of £2800.
A £15K loan with a high APR (20%) is going to cost you £1400 a month in loan repayments. If you can afford this then put an additional £1400 into your savings and you will be where you need to be in 10 months, saving you £2800 in loan repayments - no need to thank me!
If you are unable to wait for 10 months then apply for as many credit cards as you can that give you money transfer option, barclarys, virgin, Lloyds if I remember but there are others. You should be able to get £15K limit if you get a couple of them.
To answer your question, no one on this forum is going to recommend a lender as even brokers are not allowed to so you will just have to try comparison sites and stay away from the normal lenders and try some odd sounding ones.
Good lucks0 -
no..i can't wait 2 months for this..its a now or never opportunity
Based on the information you have provided the opportunity, I believe, may pass you buy. One default that is about to drop off is not going to exclude most mainstream lenders so there must be other factors in play.0 -

Well yes...this is the one default in question i mentioned above . Account is now settled as I took them to court and won. However they marked it as settled so it remains on my file. Really dont want to open this up as it will take the conversation in a different direction. But yes i know that this default will affect my chances however we'll just roll with that
To answer the question above...i have no idea what other factors may be affecting my CR with main stream banks however as I only have that default (due to drop off in two months) that is all i can comment on. I have no dependencies and the take home pay is correct. Sadly I can not wait two months...otherwise I wouldn't be here. Thanks for the optimism - this will not pass me by... I'll figure something out0 -
Is it not something you can get finance for ?

You need to get the idea that your CR (credit rating) has anything to do with your loan chances. The lenders look at your credit history, so you could get your credit reports from all 3 credit reference companies and see if there is anything on there that shouldn't be or could be causing you issues.
If the default is affecting your chances and you cannot wait for 2 months for it to drop off your file then you will not be able to get the £15,000 loan you want, I doubt that 1 default 5 years and 10 months old is causing you problems though.0 -
Thanks for the reply...i genuinely appreciate them. I am clear regarding the CR "score" however as you say the history is a factor. This, for whatever reason is putting off high street lenders. I have checked all three CR agencies and with some liberties in the scoring the history seems accurate. I was as surprised as you all seem to be as only last year the Halifax offered me a mortgage...now with my finances in even better shape I can seem to get a small loan. However I will find someone who will lend the money
I can't take a loan against the house as I'm selling it and whilst I'm not certain...i can't see how that could be legal0 -
