Nightmare with Pruhealth & VirginActive offer

In August I took out the Pruhealth insurance, because of the benefit of reduced gym membership.

I went down to Virgin Active and signed up. I was told it would take about a week to receive my gym pack and membership details.

However it's almost five weeks later ...and i am still waiting!

I've spoken to Virgin Active so many times, however they are not helping. One of the sales girls never has a minute spare to talk to us and never returns our calls. She is always chewing gum whenever we speak to her ...so rude. I made contact with the sales manager and he too hasn't rung us back to tell us what is going on.

I've also tried to contact Pruhealth and they haven't contacted us either to tell has what is happening.

It's gone past the 30 day cooling off period and I am fed up. I can't believe we still haven't got our gym membership.

Does anyone think I could reclaim the full membership back? Have they mis-sold me this policy because it doesn't fulfil what they originally offered?

Thanks for any replies

Send the head office a complaint letter mentioning the sales girl's name and use recorded delivery.* At the end of the letter threaten to report them to Trading Standards and tell them you will take them to court for breach of contract if they don't refund your membership. Demand that they contact you in writing within 14 days.

I googled and found this address:
Active House 21 North Fourth Street Milton Keynes MK9 1HL.

*That way they know you know they have received it and can't deny it.

If they don't respond to you within 14 days send them a "letter before action"
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
