                    I've sold some stuff on Amazon over the past few months, but not  had any feedback from any of the buyers, so it's still showing me as a new seller.
How many things do you reckon I'll have to sell before I get a rating - I generally only have one or two things a month to put on.

 I find the feedback system on Amazon really bad, I am only getting about 30% of my feedbacks0

            I have sold a few hundred books on Amazon, but have about a 112 feedback. Personally I wouldn't ask for feedback as some people can take umbridge! Fortunately I didn't find being a "just launched" seller had any effect on sales as my first book sold was over £80.
 That first sale never got me any feedback either!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

            I'm running at 25 feedbacks out of a possible 138.
 I really wouldn't get too het up about feedback on Amazon. Amazon do send out a reminder about 30 days after purchase (I think) but a lot of people don't bother.My TV is broken! 
 Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0

            feedback levels of 25% are the usual unless you actively seek it by emailing follow-ups and that's not always a good idea as no news is often good news. Though percentages won't make much sense until you've got a few hundred numbers to work with.Do You Twitter?

            And a lot of Amazon buyers are mysterious creatures.

            Feedback seems to matter a lot less on Amazon than it does on ebay. I only get about 20-25% of buyers leaving feedback and it didn't seem to deter buyers when I was still a newbie and had no feedback 'tho I'd sold a few items. In fact I sold my highest priced sale yet when I had no feedback..... :j0

            i have been using amazon for 7 years now with well over 1000 transactions but only have 224 feedback. most of those are received approx one month later.0

            My first Amazon sale was for a £150 book, that was bought by Belfast University Library ... and they never left feedback. I got a bunch of brand new remaindered books recently for next to nothing, and put those up.
 Someone bought one recently and didn't leave feedback. I did send them a polite email to ask if they would mind leaving me feedback if they were happy, as I was a new seller. They sent a reply to say they were very pleased, but didn't know how to leave feedback and could I tell them. I sent a reply to explain how to do it, but they still didn't do anything. It's been over 30 days now so they must have had the reminder email too. I think it's likely to be because a lot of people who buy from you on Amazon just treat it as an "Amazon purchase", so the idea of leaving feedback or doing anything post-purchase doesn't even occur to them - they click the button, make the payment and get the book, and that's it for them.For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0

 True! I'm so used to the amazon system of feedback that I don't even hassle my ebay buyers to leave feedback, if they want to leave feedback they will get feedback in return, but if not I don't worry about it. I don't leave feedback when buying from Tesco's or the newsagents, and many customers feel the same way about shopping online.
 If you want to moan about feedbacklevels, play.com are even worse, feedback levels of about 5%.Do You Twitter?
