Landsbanki Sub Prime?
Worrying for some maybe, who is holding the toxic waste?0 -
OK possibly a very naive question coming but:
You offer someone a sub-prime mortgage because they want to buy a house but are a risk.
X months or years in they default.
OK you don't get your mortgage payment, but presumably you do get a house that you can sell and, presumably walk away from the deal at least even?
I don't understand why it's been portrayed as if people can default on a mortgage (sub-prime or not) and the lender has to grit their teeth and take it?0
