ADVICE - Just signed up to TSB after MSE email, i know have two classic accounts??

Hi

I just received the email regarding the deal -

http://www.tsb.co.uk/plus-money-saving-expert/?WT.mc_id=1613487|122013894|294961544|0

I now have two TSB accounts, i must of had one years ago for the interest....I only realised when looking through my passwords.

The old one has £1 in it, the other £0 and i am waiting for the card /details.

Where do i stand with this now as i am totally confused ?

Can i get the deal, linked above on BOTH accounts by meeting the criteria ?

CLASSIC PLUS

Balance must be £1500
Pay in £500 month
MUST BE PAPERLESSuse
use card 20 times per month
2 diect debits ?

Anyone help/avise ??

Cheers

Delete the post and see what happens

    ?????????

Surely somebody else has been in this situation.....I totally forgot about my existing accout with TSB....Why the attitude ??

For anyone else seeking help/advice, i have just recieved this email -

Start using your account and begin discovering all it has to offer you:

3% AER on balances up to £1,500 – just remember to pay in at least £500 a month, be registered for Internet Banking and sign up to paperless statements and paperless correspondence
The freedom to bank online, on our mobile app, over the phone or in branch
No hassle – make it your everyday account in just 7 working days with our 5 star defaqto switching service
£25 interest and fee-free Planned Overdraft – subject to approval.
Use Internet Banking to keep track of your balances via text alerts
TSB Visa debit card - Contactless functionality subject to status

So it looks as if i DO NOT apply to the new scheme....

BUT now i have 2 accounts, could i just transfer the £500 from one TSB account to the other, then back to my main Santander account ?

Thanks for any HELPFUL advice in advance.

Can't see how you could get the deal on BOTH accounts!?

Maybe not even on one if the first previously opened account disbars you from the second one, you can only have one Classic Plus account.

The email was from mse not TSB so it was up to you if you forgot you already had an account and applied for a second;)

As has been said see what happens I suppose but doesn't sound like you will get two incentives, why would you!?

Read the Terms and Conditions that should set you straight .

TSB Classic current account and TSB Classic Plus current account are different.

Thanks for advice, i will update when i have more info.

Hmmm looks like its a brand new TSB offer giving £5 a month if two DDs are paid out and a the cashback up to end of June 2018. The mse link route is now redundant and that offer superseded?

In fact its so new that in mse list of best current accounts it says it pays 1.5% interest!! Until you click on it and it says 3%. Expect they will correct it when they get in at 9am tomorrow.

    But which is incorrect ?

The 1.5% is incorrect as the TSB site shows 3%

I've got three Classic Plus accounts (all opened when the account first came on the market) so I guess it is possible their systems could still have a gremlin and allow more than one.

can you transfer between each TSB account and still qualify fro the interest, or does it need to come from an external account ?

Brill so just need £1500 in each, transfer £500 from external account to account one, then on to account two, then back to original external account.

PLUS i'm pretty sure they do not need any direct debits with these accouncts either - TSB Classic.
