My ex-Landlord is becoming a nightmare

Don't be an idiot. Really, just try. If you can't judge whether your post is stupid or insensitive, don't write it.
OP, did you tell the court when you were there that you were the tenant?
Anyway, it's done now, you've moved, you'll presumably get the deposit back. What more can you hope for?
Yeah I did let them know, there was little they could do because LL didn't bother showing up. The Judge did give him 30 more days to pay up though in the hope that either he would sort it out (didn't happen) and to find somewhere else to live.0 -
What part are you finding funny?
Op has had a hard time and had to deal with the issues and worries of losing their home.
Yup, mental health hospitalization, loosing a job with 2 weeks notice.
Was just getting sorted into my new job in the nuclear industry and things were looking up then this was dropped on me0 -

Oh do behave. Gender has NOTHING to do with this issue.
And nor does personal circumstance. So leave the pious stuff for elsewhere.0 -
Not really sure what the OPs intention was posting this as their intentions are a bit confusion. You have found a new property, you have asked for your deposit back etc. Yes, landlord's can be a nightmare however this is nothing new.
Of course I understand this can be a stressful situation however ranting does not make it better. Save your energy and move on.0 -

Indeed, gender and personal circumstance don't have anything to do with the original case. That wasn't what my post was about.
And you know that because you read my post, right?0 -

If the landlord has been given 30 more days and you leave this week, what notice have you given your landlord (though notice isn't possible in the fixed term). I can see your landlord claiming you owe rent to him until he ceases to be the owner of the property. This may hamper your attempts to get back your deposit.
Google "sword of damocles" and "rent" to find others experience of this.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
