Morning all had a response from next about my complaint on ppi. They have said they can't look into my account as they only have to keep records for 6 years.
What next? Do I just leave it there? I'm using resolver
Thanks

If you don't believe them, you could gamble £10 on a SAR.0

As above, your choice is to provide your own records or risk £10 for the DSAR on the off chance they dig some stuff up from their archives that the PPI complaints team don't have access to.
6 years is the standard guidance after which data should be deleted and in light of the PPI complaint "industry" I'm not surprised firms are being more proactive in deleting old recordsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The FCA has "discouraged" firms from destroying data where PPI may be payable. However, that is only from some time after the PPI issue started.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
