    Nothing major should happen. He (and possibly wife's siser) will need to contact the solicitor, taking a copy of the deathcertifcate, to collect the will.

    Then he should check that what he has done to dte follows the will, and correct it if not. it may well be that the wills provided for everything to go to the other spouse and that any other provisions were only intended for after the scond death, but without seing the will none of us can know that.

    Once he has a copy of the will, if it contains provisions he didn't follow then he can ask for advice about how to now deal with them once he knows what they are.
