Still paying PPI to Barclays

I am still paying £1.60 per month on a BBA Overdraft account. I seem to recall that in the 90's I was put on an additions account. I have put a complaint through resolver and I have been sent lots of letters with account numbers on some saying they are still looking into it.
Has any body been successful with a claim that that are still paying PPI on?

Are you saying you've made a complaint AND are also looking to make a claim?0

I have put in a claim via resolver tool on mse. Not complaint, sorry I'm not very good at typing and auto correct is a nightmare!0

Resolver is for complaints not claims. If you are off work sick or have been made redundant then you need to contact the insurer to put in your claim. You can't claim on an insurance unless its in force and with monthly PPI you need to be paying the premiums to keep it in force.
If you mean you've made a complaint about being sold PPI then whether or not you are still paying it won't make any difference unless of course your complaint reason(s) would be contradicted by you still paying premiums.0 -
OK, thanks you for clearing it up. I have put in a complaint of being mis sold the account and PPI. This is all ewes to me and I'm struggling to understand. Do you think I should stop paying the PPI and close the account?0

Generally speaking if you complain about the account and the PPI they will cancel the policy and close the account (perhaps offering you a free one instead), you don't need to cancel the PPI yourself though it makes sense to if they reject your complaint and don't do it themselvesSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I don't use the overdraft, I use the account for rainy days only.0
