Changing radio in Vauxhall zafira

Hi,

We have a 60 plate Vauxhall zafira with a CD30 radio unit fitted. My husband really ways a unit that will play music from his phone, preferably through Bluetooth and potentially with a satnav, depending on the cost. I've tried looking into it and its confusing. Has anyone done this and can recommend a unit? Also explain (as simply as possible) how take the current one out and install a new one?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi the unit will have 4 little torx screws to Roade then buy a kit off ebay for around £10 that will give you the cd convert cable from the car loom to the new players cable it will have the plastic insert from the old radio as this radio is a double din and any after market radio will be a standard din with the metal cage that why you need the conversion kit. As said it's very cheap from eBay don't go to halfords it's very expensive it's very easy to install. In the kit you also get the double din removelike keys and the ariel adapter. All you need is a new cd player with Bluetooth to shove in the new house ingredients and conecting the wires it's very simple. Nit and steering wheel radio controls will not work with the new radio but that is no biggy

I own a zafira 2010 my self and had the stupid CD30... I've replaced it wih android stereo (straight fit) and I don't think I could evere look back to standard stereo ever again. In fact my next car factor will be "will it have a double din space?" if not I be stacked with the Zafira. Look here and I suggest you a quad core unit (if you can afford it) https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20170317034003&SearchText=opel+android+

My unit brand is erisin and Installed rear view camera and back headrest monitors... Don't bother with rear headrest monitor as you would not be able to stream youtube to them (wasted my money there)

Hmmm, I don't recommend breaking the £100 rule when buying direct from China via sites other than eBay.

Aliex and other such sites are full of dishonest sellers looking to make a quick profit from unwary "rich" westerners, by advertising high value items and either not shipping then, or sending a box of junk instead.

Can't even trust the reviews, many are purchased and these sites don't let people leave negative reviews. Unlike the UK, the Chinese are very loyal to their own kind and will support fellow countrymen's dishonest/nefarious activities over any foriegner, so you really are taking a risk buying from these sites.

That said, I buy quite a lot of stuff from such sites, but i'm extremely careful and only purchase small low value items.

Just 3 months ago on Aliex, I ordered something for £10, after 6 weeks the item was still not shipped (according to the site), I purchased the item elsewhere and cancelled the first order, then the original seller UN-CANCELLED my order and then sent me the item anyway. So now i've got two of them, one I don't need.
If I cancel an unshipped order I do NOT expect that cancellation to be reversed without my permission.......... But as I said, the site is never going to be on my side. Buyer beware.

You can get the Android head units off eBay.

I say avoid them them though, I had one for a short while, and whilst the ability to use Play Store apps was great, the thing was poorly made and it came with so much wiring it didn't all fit properly behind (although this was in a fiesta) but the worse bit was that the sound quality of anything was crap
