Just wondered where I stand...
I bought tickets for a local sports game, 2 adults for me and my wife. I added car parking tickets, which were listed as £0.00. The company takes my payment and emails me the tickets.
Later that day I get an email from the Arena saying theres a problem with their pricing of car parking and my car park ticket won't work when I arrive on the day of the game. If I want a ticket for the car park I can go back on the website and pay £5.
I email back and say if the parking isn't free, I'll take a full refund on everything. Bit cheeky, but trying my luck, as it states on the tickets that I've printed off ready for the event that they never refund match tickets under any circumstances. Anyway, they refund it all no questions asks.
Baffled by it, I ask them to show me on their website (within t&cs) where they can cancel a parking ticket that I've checked out of their website and received via email to print off. Multiple emails to them, and waffling back from them avoiding the questions, never showing me in their t&c's where they can do this.
Was it legally wrong that they revoked the parking ticket? Given, I was past the point of order and it was "delivered" for me to print off at home and use?
Thanks in advance.

It looks like a pricing error - and legally, they don't have to honour it, as with every other pricing error that happens.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I get that re: pricing. Its just that they'd actually delivered all the tickets.
I wondered if there was a point where it was too late for them to revoke.0 -

Shouldn't the policy on this happening be available on their website or something?
Surely there needs to be a procure in place.0 -

They are not due to provide that service until you try to park your car.
If the mistake is one that you are aware of, or should reasonably have known about, then the seller cannot be held to that term.
In other words, were you aware at the time of placing your order that they had made a mistake of charging £0.00 for a car park ticket?
I'll leave you to work out the rest.
Google unilateral mistake.0 -
You actually bought a service.

Position understood re: service. I acknowledge you're right in that respect.
I also understand your point that maybe I should have known. However, I may not regularly choose to park in their car park. I could walk up and buy a ticket on the night and have no regular interaction with / in the car park.
I met someone at the weekend who experienced the same problem, they were called and hassled for the money....during the ensuing conversation they were told the car park isn't run by the actual arena....yet they sell tickets for it. Mind boggles sometimes.0 -

No policy is necessary. There is a procedure in place, they offered you a full refund as a goodwill gesture.
Companies do NOT need to publicise their procedures or policies. You seem to be whining on about something that is not only fully resolved, but the company have gone above and beyond what they legally had to do for you.
Stop with the fault finding to try and eke out compo (it is really obvious) and start being thankful they did you a solid.0 -

I guess that's me well and truly told.0
