What can i do with beans?

    wow, nice selection, just put them all together in a pot, add required amount of tinned chopped tomatoes, jazz it up with any herbs or spices that you want to use up, then bowl it up with cous cous, bulgar wheat or rice.

    co-incidentally just found a recipe ripped from a newspaper

    leek & cannellini bean soup -


    600g leeks, fry in a little oil till soft add to
    1 litre hot stock then add
    2 x 400g beans, simmer for about 10 mins
    add 100g spinach, simmer another 5 mins then add
    150 ml milk & blitz it all up - add seasoning as req'd.

    Out, Vile Jelly- the reason i want to use them up is because they've been in the pantry for a while and i want to start using them instead of spending yet more money on food.

    I'm making a chilli with them today, and stuffing some squash with the chilli. topped with some guacamole and/or sour cream :)
