I have loads of beans in my pantry. I have borlotti, cannellini, kidney, black and butter beans.
Apart from veggie burgers, what can i make with them?

Squizz them up with some garlic, tomato puree and herbs or some lemon juice and herbs to make a pate or dip.
Mash them with nuts, breadcrumbs, onion and seasoning... press into a loaf tin and bake. Serve with a chilli or tomato sauce.:hello:0 -
If they're unopened there's no urgency surely?
I've used black beans with squash in fajitas, and found a really nice winter soup recipe with butter beans, parsnips and Thai spices.
You can also make a chilled bean pasta salad, like the posh ones in M&S.They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Butter beans make great gigantes plaki (loads of recipes for this online but I use this one https://cookingonabootstrap.com/2013/03/20/gigantes-plaki-17p/)
You can lob some in any soup to add some heft and protein.
I make a salad by very gently frying some crushed garlic in olive oil and then chucking it over drained and rinsed cannellini beans, tomatoes and a load of chopped fresh parsley. A bit of salt and pepper and you're done. It's very simple but delicious with crusty bread.
How about Boston baked beans? http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/bostonbakedbeans_10471 If you're veggie like me then I'd bung in some smoked paprika instead of pork.0 -
Add a tin to any casserole or stew you make.0

I love beans, they are very versatile and interchangeable in most recipes. I like them in pasta with greens and a tomato sauce. They are great in stews and veg casseroles. Search for beans and rice recipes and you will find hundereds of variations!
This is a lovely, cheap recipe for kidney beans that makes a change to chilli -

I'm not a veggie but I just love veggie chilli. You can use any chilli con carne recipe, just leave out the meat and add plenty of veg (onions, mushrooms, peppers, carrots) in with a selection of beans. Make a big pot or use SC and freeze in portions. Makes a quick meal with a jacket potato or rice.0
