Food allergies

Options
My dogs results came back and she has ALOT of allergies. Environmental such as Rye, Ash, Cyprus etc. Storage mites, dust mites. Foods (which I take with a pinch of salt) as only elimination diets work to distinguish these. But I've put her on Eukanuba FP dermatosis wet food. She hates dry(and storage mites then shall be avoided) but I believe a dog needs to chew. Would a hypoallergenic meat like pork be safe? I was think her Eukanuba food, along with a pork chop raw bone to gnaw?! It will be hard to see effect considered she's hot so many allergies I can't sense which is causing most harm. But is this a wise move in her food sense?

There is no universal hypoallergenic food. It depends on what a dog is sensitive to. She may be sensitive to pork or she may not, just like any other meat.

One of my dogs could not have anything connected to lamb but my other could eat lamb with no problems.

A chop bone could splinter and cause internal damage. Only large RAW bones should be given, such as a raw knuckle bone from a butcher which she can gnaw on.

Thanks for the info. I may just buy the dry version of Eukanuba and freeze it to save the infestation of dust mites. As Im worried that even pork might be no good with her allergies and add to it

The Eukanuba food is based in fish and potato so what about fish skins?

Fish4 dogs, Skippers and Seatreats are some of the producers

There are prescription foods where the proteins have been hydrolysed so that the body does not recognise the proteins and react to them. Other than that, you're right - it'll depend on the allergy.

OP, what allergy tests did you have done?

I was going to go for the intradermal skin tests, but decided on just spot spectrum blood tests, then I also got her thyroid checked. For a tiny 1.5 year old Yorkie I wasn't expecting such vast results. Maybe for her particular case, she should have done intradermal. But now I guess we have ideas of the allergies that are environmental. She's on Atopica and going to start immunotherapy, I just need to sort out her food.
