Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking at getting this account, it will provide me with everything I need for around £200 less a year what I am paying now..... in regards to the travel insurance, it says a annual premium will need to be paid of £50 before any claim is made....... what is this?
Many thanks

There's a £50 excess on the travel insurance. I assume it relates to that.carlyfluck wrote: ». in regards to the travel insurance, it says a annual premium will need to be paid of £50 before any claim is made....... what is this?

I just opened a FlexPlus Account because I have a number of pre existing medical conditions which were costing me a fortune in insurance because no one would cover me for a multi trip policy and the USA was out of the question. I had just paid over £500 for two cruise holidays in Europe! I declared my medical conditons to Nationwide and am now paying £230 in total for my wife and myself for 12 months worldwide cover in addiiton to the £10 monthly fee. This has been counteracted by the "refer a friend" option with my wife opening an account and another friend referring me too so I get £200 that way. Result:T:T:T0

We used the travel insurance, the cover is better than most, the support whilst away was fine and they o ly charged us one excess despite claiming under more than one section. We have also successfully claimed under the mobile I surance twice, they send a Prepaid envelope. One phone was repaired, the other they replaced. The excess depends on phone type.
There is a 100 pound new customer bonus, simply PM any existing customer and ask or look on the referrals board. I have successfully referred 5 people from mse and hotukdeals. Account holders can also apply for a 5% regular saver account.I think....0 -
An annual premium of £50 (rate correct at 04/04/2016) is payable per account before you are eligible to claim on any booked trips for account holders and insured parties aged 75 years or over. You are not eligible to claim until you have paid this premium...
Are you 75 or over?0 -
I made a claim, didn't have to pay £50 excess or £50 premium. I'm 61.0
-
Carly, are you over 75?
We will have to pay £50 to extend our travel insurance next year when OH turns 75.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
