    Hello Sam,
Please advise who provides the ppi cover on your loan?
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
  • I have no idea
I only have the loan agreement form as I was never sent anything else.
    will it say on that

  • Write direct to the Office of the Chief Executive at their Trinity Road address and tell them that they you want this resolved immediately. I've found their Customer Relations team fairly slow at responding, but anything via the Chief Exec's Office has had a solution within a few days.

They make me so angry on your behalf!

P.S. No wonder they've been busy dealing with complaints - half of them are probably mine!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Hi
    thanks for the responses
bathgatebuyer....can you tell me who I address the letter to at the Chief exec and do I tell them all that has happened or just my ref number and brief explaination?
Or is there a phone number for them?
petermb....I dont have any information on the insurers and halifax said that I should have had that information when I got the loan but they will have to find out and will get back to me (not holding out much hope)
I have never received anything but the copy of the loan agreement since I signed the forms.
    Thanks a lot
    sam

  • I have sent my correspondence marked for Andy Hornby himself (first time I typed a letter to him, I made the mistake of writing it to 'Andy Horny' so make sure you don't do that!), but have also spoken to Glenn Clapham or Anthony Carter in that office too. The direct line for the Chief Exec's Office is 01422 326457 and their fax is 01422 326688.

The address is the usual Trinity Rd one, HX1 2RG, but just mark it for the Office of the Chief Executive.

  • Thanks a lot I will get onto that first thing in the morning

  • Hello
    Progress at last!!!!!!!
Just had a call from Halifax saying they are upholding my complaint.:j

The only problem now is they say as they are working out new guidelines to deal with these complaints they cant refund the money, restructure my loan or offer compensation until the new guidelines are finalised!!!
So I now have to wait for the money back until god knows when.
The woman said she cant say how long it will be and she cant guarrentee it will be before the new year:eek:
You would have thought the hard bit and the waiting was over..but now I am back to the waiting game.
Does anyone else have experience on how long this can take now?
thanks to everyone for their help:beer:

  • I would ask for interest certainly - their mistake and you should not have to pay any additional costs as a result. Had you not been paying the PPI, you could have put that money to another use like savings (ha ha - savings like I would save any extra money!) so the least they can do is give you the interest.

Ask for their confirmation of this in writing (sorry, super sceptical about the Hellifax).
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • I am sorry to bother you but I have been on the phone to halifax and they say that they agree I was missold the ppi but I am not entitled to the payments back. All they can do is give me a new loan with the repayments and ppi taken off!
surely this is not right. can I have them back and they can restructure my existing loan.
    please help
