Damp Proof Membrane plus Self Leveling Compound

Well I've made a right balls up of my kitchen floor!
I painted on a DPM (Everbuild Blackjack DPM) then after 24 hours started laying my floor tiles. I gave up after laying 19 large tiles as I just could not get them level
I'm going to rip them up and start again.
The problem is that I didn't level the floor first as I figured the tile adhesive would make up any differences in level - lesson learned the hard way.
So I've already got the DPM painted on, which is very sticky. My question is two-fold:
1. Is it okay to put self leveling compound directly over DPM as I imagine it will stick fine.
2. Will I then need to put another layer of DPM on top? Seems weird to do this as it's awful to walk/kneel on when laying tiles. Even after several days it's still tacky.
Be gentle with your answers: I'm learning by making mistakes...

If the DPM is still wet you should have not tiled over
You will need to tear the lot up
Prime and reapply , then screed to level and tile
Use a thick bed adhesive unless your competent to use screed, it takes skill and practice to create a flat floorHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

I had a mix of 600x600mm and 600x300mm tiles to lay - Used some tile leveling clips & wedges and got them pretty darned flat. Well worth using, and if you go for the Vitrex type, use the pliers that they sell with the system.
One tip - If you stop for a break half way through the job, put clips under the edges of the tiles while the adhesive is still wet. Then when you start the next section, you don't have to grind out the adhesive to get the clips in.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
