But was this message translated with google translate from Spanish? I find it hard to believe anyone literate would think that message makes sense.

Santander - I am not one of your critics generally - check my previous posts supporting you and especially the website over the likes of MSE favourite First Direct - just change your error messages to something readable, even if it's just "Error, call customer service".

Actually yes, probably. Their banking system Partenon is ported over directly from their Spanish systems and indeed still gave out Spanish error messages to their staff for quite a while after the switch, reputedly.

So you know something about software engineering. Tangentially at least. Would you therefore agree that you stood a greater chance to get a more meaningful message if you asked Santander, rather than having a bit of a rant on a random internet forum? Just sayin'.
Probably not. I am 99% sure if I posted it to Santander I would get a stock reply and it would end up filed under "lunatic ranting".
There's a slim chance but > 1% a Santander rep monitors this forum, and actually has some sway within the hierarchy.
