Thank you - I've checked the address and I did phone the office number given. It does appear to be from Gladstones.

do as mentioned above, blank out (cover up) the personal info and references and take a picture, host it on tinypic or photobucket and let us see what you see

change the url from http to hxxp in your reply

nobody asked you to actually phone them, just to check the number given and check the numbers for both Gladstones and for DRP, so we can work out exactly who sent this letter

you cannot expect good advice on what to do until people know who this letter came from and what it says

Does the letter say anywhere "LETTER BEFORE CLAIM"?
Or does it still say things like "our client may take further action"?

If there is nothing in your original lease/AST about permits then you do not need to display one. A third party cannot add on Ts and Cs to an existing contract.

Have a look at this where judges have said the same thing.

What does the landlord/landowner say about all this?

ok , that does appear to be an LBC from GLADSTONES , correct address and their phone number etc , no MAY either , no fluffy language

treat it as an LBC , although its likely they will issue an MCOL in the near future

Doesn't actually say Letter Before Claim ... instead it says Final Reminder.
However, you are definitely at 4/5 in the list above and I agree with RedX.

I think you really need to get onto the Housing Association now and show them this - plus any other letters you received - explaining what is now actually occurring. This cannot be what they expected to happen to the tenants when they put this scheme in.

    Hi

Thank you. The person at the HA is away at the moment, but they have categorically stated that they will not get involved in any parking disputes at all, so I don't think that will help. I've asked for the information on dates, but I don't know if they will get back to me about that.

Is the only other option to pay?

they may say that but they are jointly and severally liable in law and so what they say wont really matter if you name them on any counter claim etc

they cannot just wash their hands of a legal dispute and not expect any comebacks , they are not above the law

even though the letter does not actually say its an LBC , treat it as one
