    It is not a fine.

No you do not have to pay.

Yes it is lawful (civil/contract law as opposed to legal, criminal law.)

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the IPC template in black you will find there. Do not reveal who was driving.

Nursing mothers have protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010 and should be allowed more time, so carefully add that to the appeal without saying "I parked" or anything else that will give away the driver's details. Not that that parking scammers will care, they just want money.

no its not illegal, this is an unregulated industry , so they cannot break a law that does not exist , plus 3100 is a typical figure so you cannot really argue against that figure either without an extremely strong legal argument (if one exists)

a set aside costs £255 , assuming you can convince a judge that there are good grounds for setting it aside, then if granted you start again from scratch

the OP has been issued with an invoice, nothing illegal in that, its also enforceable if a judge says so (in court) , typically when they are using the MCOL route (so issuing an MCOL is lawful too)

Bad advice, your situation is different, you should start your own thread and not give out advice to someone in a different situation.

I can't think of any reason to pay this, or suggest someone pays this. That simply shows a lack of knowledge on how the private parking industry works, and legal system works.

This is a moneysaving site so please do not suggest things like paying a scammer.

What a very strange first post, in an odd place to suddenly rock up and reply. if you are genuine, why not search for threads about set aside?

Complain to the landowner and tell them your family will never shop there again. Loads of UKCPS ones get cancelled but you have to act quickly, landowners have a small number per month they *can* cancel and only if they do so within the first week or two. So find out who runs the place and complain IMMEDIATELY AND ASSERTIVELY.

  • Apologies if it seems a strange reply I'm new to this site. Surely paying such a small amount is better than eventually ending up with a ccj agains your name like I have. I joined to see if anyone had the same experience and how it's possible it could be removed. Again I commented as I don't know how to start my own thread on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated

No, the fact you got a CCJ would have been from ignoring court papers or not updating your address on your V5 so that UKCPS used an old address for paperwork.

That is not a reason to tell a person with a new 'PCN' from these jokers, to pay it. Makes no sense at all, why on earth should people pay these greedy firms? Are you not angry and full of the fighting spirit? Not saying ''let's all give up, so fund them, join them''. So defeatist.

You call £100 a small amount do you? I'm a pensioner and to me a hundred quid is a huge amount to pay. You sound like six of the seven judges in the Supreme Court Beavis case who all said £85 was a reasonable amount for overstaying in a free car park.

The idea here is not to get t court but kill it off beforehand. That's why there is a Sticky thread for NEWBIES that tells everyone who comes here how to appeal and beat the unregulated scam parking industry.

To start a new thread, you just need to look for the NEW THREAD button on Moneysavingexpert/Motoring/Parking Tickets, Fines and Parking forum.
