It *looks* like you will get a few free-to-air channels like BBC, Sky News and various continental channels, but not ITV, Ch4, Ch5 etc which need a viewing card.

Could you get a Sky freesat card for this?

You can get many (100+) free to air channels on Astra 2 including all BBC channels and surprisingly ITV3. You cannot, at present, get ITV1,ITV2, CH4 and CH5 since these are linked to Sky. If you have a skybox then you can link the box to the satellite and use your normal subscription.

You can use a Sky free to air card - especially useful if you have an old b-sky-b decoder.

I have had one of these for over a year and use it in my caravan in Ireland. Found it very good, but the instructions for setting it up that come with the Receiver are rather lacking. Found very good instructions on a site in Dublin and have used these ever since.

Have helped others to set up the receiver.

If you want to buy one, the go to Lidl before opening - these will not last!

It should be ok for free to air channels (ie thos enot scrambled/encrypted). It will not be suitable for free to view channels as it has not facility to use a CAM (conditional access module) etc. So you cannot put a Sky card in it.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

This list may me helpful - the channels marked FTA are the ones viewable without a card and therefore available via this box.
