Not sure how they'd rule on the plaque but the guidance at least supports your viewpoint that not all personalised items would be exempt.
It gives an example of a football shirt - both with a players name on it and with the consumers own name on it. It says that the consumers own name would likely be clearly personalised but that they should be able to cancel one with a players name.
I'd also point out that CCRs are circumstances where you have a statutory right to cancel without liability rather than the only circumstances you can cancel (with or without liability).You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
