Don't you just love cats...perhaps not at the moment ;-)

how about making some small stuffing balls (if you´ve got a packet handy) then making a batter pudding and do a sort of stuffing in a hole with the veggies and gravy with a chicken oxo if you´ve got one.

What have you done with the remains of the chicken?

I have kept the remains will cook up after dinner for the cat and my turtles to eat will feed the 3 of them quite happily.

DH likes a big hearty meal so he wont be happy, the kids can cope tonight on waffles and baked beans and egg, but hubby wont eat that. Since going OS i don't keep the freezer stocked with easy to bung in the over meals. would of had a Kiev or 2 i could of just stuck in but now i have been cook most of my meals from scratch. gonna go see if i got any extras that wont take to long to cook that wont ruin the rest of my meal plans.

Whoops, oh dear! Our cats are quite good at not eating our food, but we've caught them eating bread and cake before.

:rotfl: Sorry - I know I shouldn't laugh but it is a classic comedy scenario. Mind you I laughed when we'd got a couple of really nice steaks for the barbeque - left them in the fridge and came back to find two guilty looking dogs and no steak:eek:

    At least they shared them!

yep - I think it was my friends dog as the instigator as my friends are veggies so he doesn't get to see much steak - the thought would have been too much for him. Mind you my dog would have been right there taking at least half - we saw the funny side and bought some sausages instead.

I remember, when I was a kid, our dog (a black lab) eating a lb bag of sugar left out on the side.

That dog had one sizeable hangover the next day, didnt stop drinking water for hours!
