Equifax - financial dissasociation

Options
Back in 2007 I took out a joint mortgage with my then better half, this joint mortgage was settled in 2011 and we haven't been in contact since the end of that year.

Rather tardily I decided it to arrange for this association to be removed from my credit files,

Experian have confirmed they have removed the association and I am about to post the pro-forma call credit(?) ask you to fill in.

However, Equifax won't currently won't entertain this until I either subscribe to one of thier products or request a statutory report - this can't be right????

It's not right. TELL them you are no longer associated, and if they don't act on your instruction threaten them with the ICO and the financial ombudsman. Low life CRAs! Effectively, they are publishing libellous information about you.
