Is it possible to stop a credit card company repeatedly doing soft searches?

Options
Capital One have done 7 soft searches on me since May 2016 and I'm starting to feel stalked (not meaning to cause offence) as it feels excessive. I know that they don't make any difference, but I have never clicked on their site, I've never clicked on a link to their site from Clearscore/Noodle/google etc, and I've never applied for a card. I suspect that the soft search is from Clearscore but no other 'recommended' credit card company does this. I have looked at their suggestions section twice but I have not clicked on their 'recommendations'.

Is there anything I can do to stop this? It's getting on my Emma Watsons.

Many thanks!

If you are a Clearscore member it is a byproduct of their T&C's -

We or our third party service providers will carry out searches against your and, where applicable, your financial associates’ credit information on the first occasion you log into your account in each month (i.e. a maximum of 12 searches in any 12 month period). We use these searches to identify and inform you of credit products (including personal loans and credit cards) that we consider are likely to interest you or be suited to your credit circumstances as further described in paragraph 3.2.3 above. (a) Certain product providers provide us with their own services to assess your suitability for particular products. The use of these services via our website is subject to their Terms and Conditions these can be seen here:

Ahh, thank you. I may have to stop using it.

They do no harm and being able to check all 3 CRA's is a good thing.

I've just started to do that, I'm feeling hounded by Capital One though as none of the other credit cards show up.
