My partner have been together for 10 years both still living with our parents. we are on the council waiting list and have been for 3 years, we are in the postion where i a shared owner ship house has come up where we would be paying 50% of the value which in this case is 95,000 ( mortage) with the rest paying £230 in rent.
does any one have any experience of shared owner ship and weather is a good move?
thanks in advance:beer:

Hi leb2005, have you tried doing a search for "shared ownership"? There are loads of previous threads on the subject.
As to whether it is right for you - we'll need a bit more information to tell you that.
How much is your/your partner's income?
What's the cost of buying a suitable home in your area?
What's the cost of renting a suitable home in your area?
Do you have a deposit?
Do you have debts/credit problems?
Those are just a few questions for starters
