New Pug 108 Active for £7,500
Options
Hi,
I am looking at buying a car, I have not decided which car to go for yet. But I don't have much time to find one.
I could go used or new I have not decided yet.
I am a cash buyer.
I do 20miles A roads and 20 miles motorway everyday.
Today I have seen a brand new 108 Active, 1.0, 3dr, with metallic paint (medium blue), list price £10800 (£10,300 + £500 for paint) it is a 16 plate, so qualifies for the nil roadtax. It has 10miles on the clock. (delivery mileage).
It is £7500
Should I snap their arm off and buy it? He said I have to act fast as it won’t be around much longer.
I could always sell it later… maybe for a profit or get my money back?
As I see now on autotrader similar car:
* (the white one with 1000miles) they want £8,500 (4 months old)
* a 1 year old with 12,000 for £8000
* a 2 year old with 9,000 for £7000
What do you think?
If I do buy it is there any room for negotiation of some freebies like free servicing?
He already said no extra discount on the sale price.
Is there anyting bad about these cars? The online review says the 1.0 engine is reliable.
There is no room to work in in the engine bay, is it expensive to have things like clutch changed?

I've seen a brand new Corsa for £7995 locally so it's around the going price for an entry level car. Whether it's suitable for you depends on your needsRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Autotrader has a 66 reg 108 active, 46 miles, for £6995.
It's in red, not metallic blue. If you want metallic blue there's one with the same spec for £7100
But if you're looking for a city car, one year old and under £7500, I'd be looking at a VW Up. Not the Take up, but the Move Up or the special edition Look Up that they produced in 2016 - still a few around pre-registered with very few miles on them.0 -

If it was worth more than £7500 they would be selling it for more.
You wont be selling it for any sort of profit and if it really is being discounted heavily all those cars currently advertised at the prices you mentioned wont sell because you can get a nearly new one for less and the used values plummet.
Citroen were VERY good at that... One of the reasons i buy Mondeo's also. They get discounted quite heavily and used values suffer, so to the canny used car buyer there are some serious bargains out there.
Sub 5 year old car for £2000 which was £20k when new... That was my last one.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
