A defence based on "de-minimis", (and another right of audience defeat for Excel).:-

The reason being that MSE headliners appear on Google so those searching Excel can easily read this thread

Each time I drive past the Elms Legal office here in Newark I have a quiet chuckle to myself and sometimes shout "losers" at this bunch of cowboys. It's not as though they have a proper office. Just a couple of rented rooms in an "office suite".
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

It never ceases to amaze me that these legal firms work for peanuts within the parking industry ?

Real solicitors do not work for peanuts

Might explain why they use a couple of rented rooms

I wonder how far one could push the "de minimus" defence. How about a ten pence underpayment, parked outside a bay where there is plenty of space, or a partially obscured, but still readable ticket? Certainly many judges are overlooking wrongly entered VRNs.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

We've got a '10p underpayment going to court' case currently on the forum in RK4406's thread. Again it's the Excel/BW Legal axis in pursuit. Underlines complete vindictiveness.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
