Last year, £2000 was debited from my account using cheques from a brand new chequebook -which had either been intercepted by the postman, stolen from my accountant or pinched from home.
The bank has refunded the money as the signature bore no relationship to my own-however- i still dont know who pinched them!
Do i have a right to find out from the banks fraud dept-just in case i have a security breach close to home? They seem reluctant to provide details . THanks

If you want a proper investigation, try reporting the theft to the police. They will probably tell you they can't help as your not the victim, but you never know.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

Thankfully preserved in post #4.0

It almost defies belief that somebody would have stolen a cheque book then paid the cheques into their own account.0

Surely it's not that hard to know if you received the chequebook in the first place, so you'd know whether or not a postal worker was a possibility. Likewise, you'd know what you did with it after receiving it - home or accountants.0
