Hi, asking in behalf of a friend. He is looking for a used 7 seater as he needs for work. His budget is a bit tight and is £4500.

Any recommendations? He will be doing 10/13000 miles a year so needs it to be diesel and economical. Thank you.

    Define economical?

I had a car that averaged 18mpg on my daily commute. That was economical compared to the 12mpg with the previous car.

A Zafira lots of them have been used for mobility and actually have low mileage and are well looked after. I think they are economical although mine was petrol not diesel..

He's not really into diesel territory at that mileage, does he want a proper 7 seater or one with 2 temporary seats like the Zafira?

Thanks for ur replies. By economical, I meant much mpg as reasonably possibly. I don't have a figure of day 50mpg. Most of his miles will be on motorway so better to get slightly more economy from diesel.

Re no of seats in the budget, I think a 7 seater where 2 seats are foe children or for short journeys is ok.
