Snooze button on my alarm clock...

So I'm new to being owned by a cat so my experience has only been since November
Bedroom door is open, he can do a hell of a lot of damage to a carpet in ten minutes flat
Luckily we get up at 7 every day, well either one or both of us as we also have hens looking out. Arthur usually decides around 10 mins before the alarm it's up time and comes and dances on us. He's now stopped eating my leg, but still bats it
So one of us gets up, feeds him and he's fine. Either settles on the window cill or settles on the bed0 -
This is why my cats have the run of the kitchen and conservatory at night but are kept of the bedroom. I couldn't cope with the kitty wake up, or the fact my two cats like to wrestle on the bed in the middle of the night!0

4.45 this morning.
Ignored him for an hour and a half - he didn't stop shouting or hammering at the door.
We've put what is effectively double sided tape on the door - he doesn't care.
Apparently cats don't lose their "voices"
Tempted to try an automatic feeder about 5am to see whether a snack will keep him quiet.
Of course, ear plugs might be the obvious solution if we can find some comfortable ones.0
