Credit card standing order

Hi, My wife and I recently got a joint Sainsbury's 0% Credit card (she is the main named card holder), booked a holiday and I set up a token gesture standing order to help pay off the balance. When we returned from the holiday we decided to change the standing order to come out of our joint account. This I thought I had done, but in my error I didn't allow any over lap in fact the was a couple of days before the joint standing order was paid to the CC. All is now straight however, Sainsbury's have said there will now be a black mark against my wife's credit score. Even though the mistake was mine and she has a completely unblemished credit rating, What on earth can we do? ANY HELP VERY WELCOME!

There wont be a black mark on anyones credit score, the black mark will be on your wifes credit file since she is the account holder. Have you both checked your credit files with the 3 agencies ? Credit scores/ratings are only seen by yourself and yourself only, lender see the credit history.
