Hi
Can someone help me out, I had a joint account with my Ex which went into default. The default date was 10/02/11 and I settled the account as soon as I learnt of the default. The problem is the default had been cleared by Experian and Clearcredit however Equifax have not updated the record. I asked Equifax about the issue but they informed me that Halifax never provided them with a default date. I called Halifax and they confirmed that the date for default was 10/02/2011. Halifax said they had contacted equifax and a note had been put on my account to have this sorted. When I call Equifax I was informed that Halifax had not made any contact or updated on my account. I looked at the Data Protection Act and information published by ICO and it clearly states that the date of default must be identified so that a correct data is kept about clients on their credit record.
Could you please advise me of a way forward.:(

Get email from Halifax confirming info, forward to Equifax and only deal with a customer relations type person, do not waste your time with the monkeys who answer the phone !0
