Can anyone advise me on the following:
Ordered some furniture and on the companies web site it states 20 working days delivery ie mon-fri. Another firm makes the furniture and when we orignally placed the order the company that makes the furniture rang to confirm order I asked about delivery time and they told me 6 weeks. When I approached the company who we purchased the furniture from that it states 20 working days delivery on their web site they didnt seem bothered that we had been told it would take 6 weeks by the company that makes the furniture even though it states on the company we bought the furniture from on their web site 20 working days. Tomorrow 3rd march will be 24 days since the order was placed and still no confirmation of delivery. Have i any rights to claim back any money as the company who we purchased the furniture from surely have broken their terms and conditions of the contract by not making sure the furniture was delivered within the 20 working days as displayed on their web site. I do have dated screen shots to back my case and the furniture was paid for by credit card. Would someone please be kind enough to advise me of my next steps please.
Hope someone can please advise
Kind Regards Shaun

What's the company, their T&C's will help.
What is it you want? To cancel? You're being a bit vague when you say you want to claim back any money, are you looking for a discount?0 -
Did the manufacturer say six weeks or up to six weeks? Can anyone advise me on the following:

When forming the contract, did you specifically make 'time of the essence'?
If not, then any delivery dates given are only an estimate.
If you were to force this issue and it end up in court, in my opinion the court would probably decide that six weeks was near enough.
If you were to read MSE's Failed Delivery article you would see that it may still be possible to make time of the essence, but you would need to propose a reasonable time from now, by which time your furniture will probably have been delivered anyway.0 -
Cant see anything being done until monday, why not call them on monday.0

It's not actually clear whether the purchase was made online or in store. The OP might just be assuming that the terms on the company's website would be the same as those for an in store purchase.0

I would be inclined to think ... be happy - it could be worse.

Op knew it was going to be 6 weeks as they received a phone call telling them so not sure what the issue is0

Thanks for the feedback . The items were purchased instore from the companies web site thats states delivery will be inside said amount of days .Got a phone call from the company that makes the furniture and when its delivered it will be 34 days which is outside the parameters stated on the companies web siteSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0

But is that term on the company's website applicable to in-store sales, or only applicable to online sales? Thanks for the feedback .
