Hi Herbie21,
Dont mind at all. Got the Rent option ongoing and will keep you informed.
As a few of you have suggested getting rid of DFD, can you suggest a way of doing this? I am still to hear from them regarding my concerns of moving / selling and due to the state i was in last night their lack of concern baffles me!
I feel better than i did last night.:o
Ps I rang CCCS and they told me that my IVA is a legally binding contract and i must speak to DFD about my problems as this is what i pay them for0 -
Sorry to hear you are going through such tough times at the moment.
I really think you should consider going bankrupt to give yourself a fresh start. It will free you from DFD too. It doesn't sound as if you have anything to loose now and it will save you a lot of worry.
Good luck0 -
Hardtime i think you are totally right and altohugh i am scared about what is involved it think it will be the fresh start we need, all else has failed to get us out of the hole we are in.
thanks, i feel tons better.0 -
Glad that you can see things more clearly.
Personaly the bankruptcy route is much better but with the debts that you have it is such as shame. You have a couple of credit cards debts. Also this is not something to think about right now.
Instead, let the house sale go thorough as the stress associated with a house move is dreadful. Equally, you have had to suffer the loss of your mother at a very young age. You have enough on your plate right now.
The advice that you are receiving here is great......it's a shame that you did not receive the same level of advice when entering into this IVA.
Please contact if needed.0 -
I cannot thank all of those who have posted enough, i do not want to think about what i would have done, I am not alone!
Can you advise of how to handle DFD?0 -
Not a problem, but first let's see what their response is to your telephone call.0

Don't be afraid of bankruptcy - it is a lot less scary than you think. I did it myself in March and was discharged this month. This time last year I was up to my ears in debt and having a terrible time. Now I don't have a care in the world!
Take Herbies advice and don't worry - things will soon start to look better for you.0 -
Yesterday i went to see the CAB and was advised as you all have said to go bankrupt!
They were very helpful, its gonna cost £335 EACH for me and the hubby and £150 EACH court costs, gave me number to get forms to fill in.
STILL waiting to hear fron DFD so they suggested i ring them and ask them if they will make me BR! Gonna do that today.
Im scared but feel there is light at the end of the tunnel!0 -

Hi. If you hop over to the bankruptcy board there will be lots of lovely people (just like on here) who will be able to offer expert advice on bankruptcy. Also please do as Hypno suggests and go and talk to someone about the tough times you are going through (speak to the Samaritans, doctors, friends, or us). I cannot promise that you wond have any more hurdles to get over in life but we will be there to hold your hand when you have to get over one.:grouphug:Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
