Visit WWT Washington Wetland Centre to see the birds, otters and flamingos. The Wader Lake is home to a broad range of flora and fauna, with vantage points of the arrivals and departures from four lakeside hides. The Chilean pink flamingos look resplendent, while the centre’s family of Asian short-clawed otters are always welcoming to visitors, scurrying about in excitement. It’s a great day out for children – and there’s plenty to enthrall the adults, too.

For a chance to win one of three family day passes, valid for two adults and two children and each worth £28.22, enter our competition.
