in Credit cards
My other half wants to close his Capital One credit card account but it is in credit by £56.
Will they let him close the account and send him a cheque for the money?
He cut up the card last year so cant spend the money to bring the account to zero.

I've also called up credit cards and asked them to credit my account, the one which has the DD associated with it, from there you can move it to wherever you want.0

Thank you, the account doesn't have a direct debit associated with it.0

When you ring them to close it ask them about it.
When I closed my Santander 123456789 (slight exaggeration) card they me a cheque for one penny that I din't know I had. Yes I did deposit it in my current account (thank goodness for deposit automatic teller machines).
Anyway, most likely a cheque or transfer to your bank account.0 -

If he knows the CVV and the expiry date then it is simplicity itself to spend the money in a cardholder not present transaction (online or by phone).0
