Lloyds and the courts

Has anyone actually been taken to court by lloyds, for debts.
We have had it so quiet with lloyds till now,Enforcement order yesterday and letter today asking for the arrears to be paid in full etc..

We have inform payplan, but lloyds won't agree to the DMP.Lloyds are using bully boy tactics to get more out of us,we have been on the DMP since April.

  • i am in the exact same boat. i recieved the letter this morning.

i have been on a dmp since april and offering £74.00 a month to lloyds, which i was told today was not enough. apart from the re-finace package i have heard nothing.

did you get the new terms from november also? if your account is over £100 o/d they charge £200 a month
anyone else having trouble with lloyds?
  • Nop i've not heard the news about the £200 a month. We pay over £100 alone to lloyds for our 4 debts to them. They haven't accepted as yet. The more they put the interest on the longer it will take us too pay it off.

  • its a new terms and conditions booklet. im doing the dmp through the cab, and he's been great, although he's on holiday till monday!

are you doing your dmp yorself or through someone?
  • We are doing our DMP through Payplan ,they have been great.

They are just concern over the letter from lloyds that we recieved yesterday, for an overdraft of over £2k with a threat of ENFORCEMENT order. It could be just a threat or it could be something serious, she's going to get back to us.

I got an enforcement notice from Lloyds re my bank account when I spoke to the national debthelpline they were great told me not to worry and I wrote a lengthly letter of complaint at how long they had took to handle this account and how the courts would frown on them for the number of charges and that they were profiting from my position.

Within days they had accepted £1.65 a month for 12 months and I got a payment book for sending payments to them so the current account did not exist anymore.

I deal with my own DMP if that makes a difference.

You could if you wanted if you look on national debthelpline website take Lloyds to court yourself then courts would then I believe look at them charging interest with no sympathy.
  • Not sure this right but they have to take us to court to do the enforcement order, which a ccj has to be done,or attachment of earnings or a charging order but hoping it's just a threat.
Have just got an overdraft with lloyds?

You swore at me you mentioned tax credits :O

Definately the way to go is complaining I even threw it back at them that they sponsored teh national debthelpline and yet were not helping me when I was following debt helpline - read through all your old paperwork and throw up everything you can at them bet you find some letters that conflict each other!
  • dont even get me started on those idiots! -deep breaths-

just have to wait till monday i guess and see what he has to say!
