Hi Hypno,
We have printer, fax and copier cartridges at work as well as home printer cartridges. Will all of these do?0 -
Hypno,
I will send you mine when they're empty. With the amount of printing we do, the ones that are in wont last much longer. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

No probs! I'll let you know whe they run out but I am frugal so it could take a while! Have you tried contacting your paper? My mum runs a charity in Nepal (good excuse to leave the country for 3 months a year if you ask me!) and got a great response...worth a try!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hello Hypno
On a bit of a tangent - although relevant to Fishface's post above - have you thought about contacting local businesses to try to secure sponsorship for your children? Or even organisations like SportEngland?
I do this for a living, so would be happy to point you in the right direction / draft funding letters etc. Feel free to PM me.
Best of luck!

Thank you for the posts on here and for the pm's. The children are very excited and quite amazed at the response we have got. To prove their dedication they have been race training tonight in the pouring rain. Soaked to the skin but still wanting to go back up and do another run.
Hopefully I have PM'd details to all that have asked, and to some I have got carried away and PM'd twice. So for my eagerness I apologise if it is blocking up inboxes!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi Hypno, Am currently looking at an empty HP cartridge so pls PM me your address - your postie will have kittens!
By the way, have you tried your parish council / local councillor / council for grants?
And maybe the kids themselves could set up a website detailing their achievements & hopes & progress, then do a mailshot to all local businesses asking for maybe £10 to put the company name on their website - they will probably get more, but £10 a company is a small amount to ask for & it will all add up.
Also try & get a piece in your local paper with photos, details of their achievement and your cartridge request.
Good luck - will watch out for them in the future.

Hi
Have you considered recycling mobile phones? Not done it myself so don't know if the returns are worth the effort. But people seem to get new phones regularly.

Thank you! Mobile phones are also accepted but lots of DFWers can take advantage of extra clubcard points or sending them to envirophone etc to get extra money towards their own individual challenges.
I could add mobile phones though to the local collections that the children are doing - thanks for the ideas!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
