Travel Republic not honouring price on website.

We booked our flights and hotel accommodation on the 5th September 2016 with Travel Republic, we received confirmation them of the reservation and printed the necessary voucher once we had paid in full.
On the 6th September we contacted the hotel and they confirmed we had a booking at the hotel as we wanted to book tours whilst there.
On the 1st March 2017 we are now being advised by Travel Republic they only act as agents for You travel and You travel say the monies Travel Republic had listed on their site was insufficient to pay to hotel.
Travel Republic will not honour the rate that was advertised on their site and just blame You Travel and they want to send my flight costs to You Travel for their consideration of paying for my losses if they consider they can otherwise I have the cost of a flight and nowhere to stay.
Does anyone know if Travel Republic or You Travel in breach of trade description rules ? or anything else?

I'm sure there will be something in the terms and conditions to cover them.
Have they given you the option to pay the difference in price? Is it a lot? Was it obvious at the time of booking that the price was wrong or much cheaper than it should be? I would be thinking there's more to it if they haven't given you that option to pay the extra increase.
Have they offered you an alternative? If you booked your flights and hotel through travel Republic at the same time then really they should be offering an alternative or full refund.Lea0 -
This is one of the problems with sites like travel Republic. You are not booking a holiday with them at all, they simply act as an agent for other suppliers, in this case You Travel and you have little or no redress against TR. Having said that it seems it has taken You Travel 5 months to notice the mistake, is the difference a major one or was the hotel price so low it was obviously wrong? Ask for an alternative at the same price, providing it was reasonable in the first place, if it was £2 a night instead of £200 then of course you have to be realistic and realise you are not going to be travelling at that price.0
