Dash cam failure.

Today while driving my cam gave a "beep, beep" sound with flashing Blue & Red lights. This denotes either a system error or the SD card isn't properly inserted,

As the card(s) are ok and inserted properly, I assume there is some sort of sys error, any ideas on way forward?

You've probably done the easy things already, but have you checked the sd card in another machine or PC - I had one recently that developed a near invisible crack in the casing somehow that stopped it working

Is there a reset button hidden somewhere on the dashcam?

I have several cards that I use in the device, same result with them all.

I'm not aware of a reset button and don't see a reference in the manual.

If your often swapping the SD cards, then you may have damaged the SD socket, most likely a soldered joint has fractured away from the circuit board.

I guess you have tried reformatting the SD card?
Does the dash cam work when connected to your PC?

The unit doesn't connect directly to a pc, SD card connects.

Update: After purchasing a new cam, I had a fart around with this one.

A dose of switch contact cleaner appears to have done the trick, no error beeps and it reads/ writes to the sd card.

Do you often take the card out? I've had a dashcam a couple of years now & I think I've taken the card out three or four times to make sure it's working.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
