TUPE and length of service

Hi all.
I've just been informed my contract is to be TUPE over to a new employer in 30 days.
I have worked for my current employer for 26 years and even though i'm being TUPE, working in the same building, doing the same job, would this be seen as start of new employment for the purposes of loan or mortgage application as I am actually working for a new employer.

Probably best asked on the Mortgage board that is where the brokers hang out that know this sort of stuff.

It shouldn't since you are transferring all your terms and conditions, and crucially your continuity of employment under the TUPE agreement, but it's down to the individual bank whether or not it wants to do business with you.... so if you don't get an answer on the Mortgage board, you might need to ask the question directly to a bank or other lender.

Service period transfers to new employer, just mention at the bank that you got transferred they should be ok with it - be honest with them . I remortgaged shortly after I was TUPE transferred and bank was ok with my "recent new employment".

If you get issued with "new contract", go it through with fine tooth comb and ensure all details are correct and that your start date etc reflect the original dates.
